Dear Sister, What is Your Heart’s Desire?

It was a glorious day for our Community, for the whole Church and for the world on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Not only is it the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament (and that of Blessed Imelda Lambertini!), but we had several Sisters celebrate advancing in the life of religion!

Our dear Sr. Cecilia Grace lovingly renewed her vows in the hands of our Superior, Mother Philomena Maria, renewing her commitment to give her all to “love God, His priests and His people with Our Lady’s love” and to “give her life as a bride of Christ and a Sister of Children of Mary” that all will come to love and adore Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Our hearts also danced with great joy as we heard the announcement of the “birth” of one of our dear novices: “Your name in religion will be…Sister Mary Theophane.” Dear Sister’s head shot up with delighted surprise as she knelt at the communion railing and received her new name. It was written on a small scroll by our dear Mother and handed to her through the hands of Fr. Ambrose Dobroszi, the celebrant of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on this day. The Church gives us fitting words through the prophet Isaiah for this wonderful ritual of being given a name in religion: “You shall be called by a new name pronounced by the mouth of the Lord…” (Isaiah 62:2)

We also welcomed Sr. Lydia (below, right) to her first year of novitiate (her canonical year) as she was invested with the Holy Habit of the Children of Mary on the eve of Our Lady of Fatima. And just a month earlier, Sr. Mary Jacinta (not pictured) entered her apostolic year of novitiate (the second year). It is truly a blooming spring of graces for our little family and for the world as these beautiful Sisters continue laying down their lives for Jesus Eucharistic, Our Blessed Mother, for the Church and the world! Ave Maria!
