A Day in the life of a Sister of the Children of Mary:
* Each Sister takes a private Holy Hour of Adoration in the night* 6:00 A.M. – As you rise from sleep: “All for the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, all for the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, in union with St. Joseph!”
– Dress, eat breakfast (oatmeal, toast, fresh fruit, coffee or tea)
– Private recitation of the Angelus7:00 A.M. – Chant Morning Prayer followed by Office of Readings 8:15 A.M. – Holy Rosary 9:00 A.M. – Holy Sacrifice of the Mass 10:00 A.M. – Spiritual Reading & Study 11:00 A.M. – Dinner listening to a reading or a tape (except Friday, which is a day of fasting) 12:00 noon – Angelus and Holy Leisure 1:00 P.M. – Enthronement of Jesus on the Altar and chanting of Day Prayer
– There will be 1/2 hour of adoration for each sister between now and Evening Prayer1:30 P.M. – Work at the Convent or Apostolic Work 3:00 P.M. – Divine Mercy Chaplet 5:30 P.M. – Chant Evening Prayer followed by Reposition of Our Lord in the Tabernacle 6:00 P.M. – Angelus followed by light repast in solitude, do spiritual reading, prayer, and study 7:00 P.M. – Recreation 8:00 P.M. – Chant Night Prayer 9:00 P.M. – Sacred Silence and lights out by 10:00 P.M.
