Ora et Labora Days at Children of Mary

In the spring and summer, the Children of Mary usually have Ora et Labora Days (Pray and Work Days) at their rural Licking County complex in Newark, OH. Everyone is invited, young and old, individuals and families, to come spend some time praying and working with the Sisters. The day will begin at 9:00 with Holy Mass (come early if you would like to join the sisters in adoration, which begins at 7:30) and will end after the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00. There is a lot of work to do on the one hundred acres of wooded land: clearing brush, working in the flower gardens and vegetable garden, cutting up fallen trees, carpentry work, painting, etc.
NOTE: The sisters ask that you bring CHAINSAWS if you have them, and battery-pack NAIL GUNS for work on the hermitages!
DRESS CODE: modest attire; no shorts
LUNCH: Hot dogs and drinks will be provided or you may bring a side dish or sack lunch.
