Cloister 02 - Pouring Footer

Hello, Everyone! Here's the second set of images in our pictorial history of the building of our new cloister - today, the footer was built and poured! Hope you enjoy the photos!

On June 16th, the concrete people arrived to build the footer frame . . . .

. . . . and on the 17th, the concrete truck arrived, and the pouring began!

It was a lot more work to get the concrete to the far side of the foundation - this was very heavy work!

With an new attachment on the concrete truck, pouring of the footer continued.

Have to spread that concrete before it dries!

Applying the finishing touches to the footer.

Finally, to give strength to the walls which will be poured next, vertical rebar rods are inserted into the footers.
