Children of Mary -

The Children of Mary is a semi-contemplative community of Sisters forming in the diocese of Columbus (Ohio) under the guidance of Bishop Frederick Campbell. The Sisters spend time each day in humble adoration of Our Eucharistic King. We chant the Liturgy of the Hours (in English) and attend daily Mass. We serve our neighbor by praying and sacrificing for all of our brothers and sisters throughout the world, begging God to give grace to all to come to love and adore Him in the Most Holy Eucharist. Living simply and prayerfully, we seek ever deeper union with God. Each Sister spends part of each day in community prayer, work, recreation, adoration, and solitude, alone with God, in order to make ourselves available to God for the gift of contemplation, which deepens our love and increases our virtue. After preparation, each Sister consecrates her life to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and makes an act of abandonment to God’s loving, divine Providence.

The Sisters study the Faith so as to grow in love and appreciation for the gift of Faith, and also in order to be able to share the Faith with those who come in search of truth. Gently, humbly, we wish to share with everyone the beauty of the Catholic Faith and the astounding reality that God is with us in the Holy Eucharist. We pray for a greater awareness and appreciation of God's Presence with us in the Holy Eucharist so that the natural consequences of such understanding - reverence and adoration, will blossom throughout the world.

A Day in the life of a Sister of the Children of Mary:

5:30 A.M.	- As you rise from sleep: “All for the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, all for the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, in union with St. Joseph!” Then private recitation of the Angelus. - Dress, eat breakfast (oatmeal, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee or tea)
6:30 A.M.	- One hour of silent adoration and then chant Morning Prayer. - Adoration begins by enthroning Jesus on the altar and offering Him our lives as we prostrate before Him enthroned on our altar.
7:30 A.M.	- Chant Morning Prayer then leave for Mass
9:00 A.M.	- Holy Mass
10:15 A.M.	- Work
11:15 A.M.	- Dinner listening to a reading or a tape (except Friday, which is a day of fasting)
12:00 noon	- Recreation (except Friday, when we pray the outdoor Stations of the Cross together)
1:00 P.M.	- Daytime Prayer
1:30 P.M.	- Class
3:00 P.M.	- Chaplet of Divine Mercy
3:30 P.M.	- Work - There will be one hour of adoration for each sister between now and Night Prayer
6:00 P.M.	- Private recitation of the Angelus - Eat a light repast in solitude, do spiritual reading, prayer, and study
8:00 P.M.	- Night Prayer (chanted with community in chapel)
9:00 P.M.	- Sacred Silence and lights out by 10:00 P.M.

	St. John Vianney and the Little Flower have been our heavenly helpers for many years Saint Therese our little sister, bring us holy vocations - women on fire with love for God and a burning desire to see everyone love Him! St. John Vianney, intercede with us for holy priests.
Blessed Mother Teresa Blessed Mother Teresa, pray that we may help the poorest of the poor, those who do not yet know and love Jesus; that the spiritually starving masses will be fed with the Bread of Life.
	The great John Paul II Ven. Pope John Paul II, pray with us for the Second Lifting, when Jesus will be lifted high in the monstrance and adored by all people!
